Lent Campaign 2013

Wednesday February 13th - Saturday March 30th

...the 40 days of Lent leading up to Easter when we will again remember the great sacrifice that was made for us! During you preparations for Easter, will you join us in giving up chocolate, and help us raise funds needed to encourage young mums to keep and care for their newborns?

This year for Lent, how about enjoying one last tube of Smarties before giving up chocolate. Save the tube and start filling it with any 10p pieces from your left over change (you can fit a whole £5 in an empty tube in 10 pences!)

With this money we would like to help young mums who go to the Gynaecological clinic in Ryazan to be cared for during their pregnancies. Sadly, due to circumstances and poverty, many give up their babies to be cared for by the state. Love Russia aims to help and encourage these young mums to keep and care for their little ones. The hospital needs funding to make a stay at the clinic more comfortable and to send the mums away with items such as baby grows, bibs, cream, nappies, dummies and toys to help them care for their babies.

Getting your Lent Appeal donations to us:
Send a cheque for the equivalent amount you have collected, indicating it is for ‘Lent 13’
Ring us and donate by card over the phone (IOW number only; 01983 530262)
Please do not sent your tube and 10p’s to us as it might cost you more than you have raised!

Invest in a Vest Autumn Appeal 2012- 2013

This years Pound appeal is called 'Invest in a Vest'.

We aim to provide each of the children we meet in orphanages and foster homes with undergarments to keep them warm through the harsh winter.

In the past, because of your help, we have been able to supply new toothbrushes, underwear, socks, scarves, hats and plasters to thousands of young people. This year, help us to supply them with NEW VESTS!

Simply collect your vests (only new ones please), and with each one attach or send a pound so we can purchase other essential clothing.

Encourage your school or group to collect together and we will acknowledge your help and achievement with a certificate and stickers for the children.

To make the group collections more fun for young children, print off the 'cut out vest' for them to colour in - cut out - and hang on a class washing line. Collect lots and it could look very impressive!

Invest in a vest

You could just collect the pounds and we will purchase vests on your behalf with the money you raise if you think this would make it easier for your group to take part.

PLEASE SEND ALL YOUR 'INVEST IN A VEST' DONATIONS TO:

Love Russia, Manor Farm, Church Lane, Thrumpton, NG11 0AU
