How do I sign up for Gift Aid?
The easiest method is to fill in this form right here and now! If you'd prefer, call us and we'll send you a paper form.
What if my Tax status changes?
Notify us immediately using either our contact form or by giving us a call 0115 983 1100.
Not notifying us could result in an overpayment which you would be responsible for.
Can LR claim Gift Aid on my fundraising?
Absolutely yes! BUT, only if you have gained a tick in the box on a sponsorship form (or something similar which we can provide you with) which gives the consent of each individual who contributed.
Do I qualify for Gift Aid?
If you have paid Income Tax or Capital gains Tax that covers the amount we would claim then YES!
What if I am a higher-rate taxpayer?
If you're a higher-rate taxpayer you can claim back the difference between the tax you've paid on the donation and what Love Russia got back when you filled in your Self Assessment tax return. It’s the same if you live in Scotland. Do this either:

through your Self Assessment tax return

by contacting HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and asking them to amend your tax code.
Example
If you donate £100 to Love Russia - we claim Gift Aid to make your donation £125. You pay 40% tax so you can personally claim back £25.00 (£125 x 20%).
