LENT is coming!
Lent is around the corner! It’s the time of year when we are reminded of the sacrifice made for us and the opportunity to respond with gratitude.
This year we're marking Lent by doing something amazing for both the Men’s Crisis Centre and the Women’s Crisis Centre which both reside on the same plot of land two hours from St Petersburg. An exciting opportunity has come up to invest in this land and secure both shelters permanently.
Currently, the Women's Crisis Centre is the only building owned, and rent is paid on both the land and the Men's Crisis Centre building.
A church, local to them, is stepping in and helping them buy the Men's Centre building. To buy the land, the most important part of the puzzle for permanent security, they need our help.
To do it, we need to raise £25,000.
We are constantly in awe of the number of people helped at these centres and the extent of their efforts to care for their residents. To inspire you during Lent, and highlight why obtaining this land is so necessary, we will be sharing four new stories of people whose lives had fallen apart but are now being supported as they begin to rebuild them.
We cannot stress enough how important it is we 'Secure Our Shelters' for the years ahead and give many more the chance to recover, find refuge, change and be restored.
