Food Prices Increase up to 210%

We're all feeling it. Fuel, food and energy price hikes are having a devastating impact.

When your income is just £76 PER MONTH, like some orphanage leavers we support, or you're running crisis centres that feed 80 mouths daily, this pinch is unimaginable and unmanageable!

This summer we opened our 'Hardship Fund' to send further support for the increased needs our mentors and those they help are experiencing.

These foods are the go-to items when living on a tight budget.

The percentage is how much they've gone up recently in Russia:

Cabbage ............ ↑ 210%

Onions ............... ↑ 160%

Sugar .................. ↑ 56%

Buckwheat .......... ↑ 38%

Flour .................... ↑ 21%

Pasta ................... ↑ 21%

All other veg ........ ↑ 20%

Alina (who runs the Women's Crisis Centre) told us their food budget is costing on average 31% more than it used to. An amount that's equivalent to two months' salary in Russia.

For our orphan mums like Olga already struggling to feed her two boys on £26 per month, our additional £30 financial aid is no longer enough to meet her basic needs.

These price hikes are devastating.

We've already sent additional gifts - even doubling what some received before from us in a typical month... but this of course is not sustainable - not without your help.

It's costing around £5 extra per person EVERY WEEK (or £20 for a month) so our beneficiaries can afford the most basic of needs... FOOD.

You can donate to our Hardship Fund over the phone 9am - 2pm Tues, Wed + Fri or anytime using the link below.
