The Mayak Project
Love Russia is continuing the work of the Mayak Foundation, supporting women affected by trafficking and sexual exploitation in Moscow.
This project provides outreach and crisis care to women affected by sex trafficking. Women are offered crisis care, as well as support with long-term recovery.
Together, we aim to restore dignity, offer hope, and help women rebuild their lives.
The need
Human trafficking and sexual exploitation affect millions of women, especially in cities like Moscow, where victims face abuse, isolation, and limited access to support or safe escape.
The extremely high prevalence of domestic violence, addiction and poverty places many women at high risk of exploitation.

Love Russia partners with a dedicated team, including a couple with direct life experience that equips them perfectly to reaching out to these vulnerable. women.
We work alongside these trusted frontline teams who understand the communities they serve. This collaboration ensures support is both culturally sensitive and practical, reaching people in crisis quickly and effectively.
What your donations do
Donations to the Mayak project enable volunteers to go out twice a week to reach women on the streets of Moscow. They provide essential sexual health kits, hot drinks, and immediate care in moments of vulnerability.
Most importantly, these outreach visits create a trusted point of contact, opening the door to further support, safety, and long-term pathways out of exploitation.
