Faith in the Waiting

This season has been one of waiting and challenge for Love Russia - for us in the UK, and those dear to us in Russia. Waiting to secure a bank account willing to receive and process funds destined for humanitarian aid in Russia, and challenging as the options open to us continue to decrease. Banks have internal policies that will not look beyond the destination country, Russia.
As Christians, integrity is important to us - therefore, laws and sanctions are always adhered to. Our work is entirely for aid, and funds are always sent into the caring hands of individuals serving in ministry.
Our friends in Russia continue to faithfully serve amid the uncertainty of long-term project security, doing their utmost to feed people experiencing homelessness, shelter women and children fleeing abuse, and care for the elderly and disabled. They want to continue - but doing so indefinitely will deplete their own resources and result in putting themselves in need.
One day this war will end. When it does, the need will be greater than ever. Families will need healing, and many more people will face homelessness, addiction and domestic abuse. We want to be ready when that day comes.
Please pray.
Pray for peace and an end to this war.
For intervention and Kingdom breakthrough in Jesus’ name.
Pray that, if it is in His will, He will open a way forward for UK banking. A small number of options remain, so we remain hopeful.
Pray also for the work of the Centres as they continue to care for the lost, the last and the least.
Thank you for standing with us in faith.
