We hope you have enjoyed our series of blogs about the crisis centre over the past two months. We were so affected by the heart-wrenching stories we heard on our visit there in February we felt it was only right to share some of those with you.
Arriving at the crisis centre is a huge step in the lives of these women. It is the start of a challenging journey working through years of abuse, neglect, low self-esteem and addiction. Most stay for a few years before successfully reintegrating with the ‘outside world’ again. The centre relies on Love Russia, residents’ incomes and small local donations.
Due to coronavirus, residents’ work and incomes have totally stopped so they are relying on us more than ever!
Refuge for a family at the centre costs £50 a month.
For the children of the women who come to stay here this is often the first time in their short lives that they have experienced safety and security.
There is also plenty of time for having fun and yes, that includes face-painting for little ones like Vera! (see photo on the right)
We believe this long-term rehab is worth every penny as it produces long-term change, preventing children being placed in orphanages unnecessarily and equips mums with hope and the skills needed to parent their own children.
Would you consider sponsoring a vulnerable family or making a one-off donation to cover the centre's running costs? You don't have to cover a family's full sponsorship; partial contributions of one week a month (£12.50) or two weeks a month (£25) are welcomed.

Please continue to lift this centre and its residents up in prayer. We love what God is doing in the lives of the residents there and we pray that women and children are able to continue to find refuge there despite often challenging circumstances. Thank you so much for your continued encouragement of our work.
